Manuals for preparing for international studies first published in Karakalpak
The National Centre for the Implementation of International Studies on the Quality of Education of the Inspectorate of Education issued 4 titles of manuals (“Matematikalíq sawatxanlíq, oqíw sawatxanlíq, tábiyiy pánler boyínsha sawatxanlíǵí, oqíwshílardíń oqíw sawatxanlíǵín bahalaw”) in the number of 200 copies and delivered them to the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Centre for Retraining and Further Training of Public Education, district departments of public education and 27 support schools for the preparation of international studies.
In addition, 180 copies of manuals, handouts titled “TIMSS Assessment Coverage 2019,” “TALIS Study,” “PISA 2018 Assessment Coverage,” “PIRLS 2021 Study,” “TIMSS 2023” and “Curricula” for support schools needed to prepare for international studies were provided free of charge.
To date, the National Centre has provided a total of 35 textbooks and handouts free of charge to the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and to support schools in all regions.
The educational materials and handouts developed are aimed at ensuring that school teams, in particular, subject teachers were aware of international evaluation programs and models, basic aspects, assessed skills, and competencies, the ability of students to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, solve problems, logically think, read and understand, draw conclusions, generalize, interpret and analyze ideas, in a word, to provide an understanding of the factors that assess and develop the skills that 21st-century students need.
These manuals also serve as an important source for the creation of a national competency-based assessment system in our country, the introduction of methods that take into account the thinking of students, as well as for the creation of additional educational and methodological literature.
